OUR COMPANY

Nurturing Canada’s Soil, Communities & Future

Imagine biting into a ripe, sun-kissed tomato knowing it was grown with care for land, water, and bee. At OrganicFarmCA, we combine regenerative farming wisdom with modern precision to cultivate nutrient-dense produce, pastured meats, and artisanal grains across Canada. From the rolling fields of Ontario to coastal plots in British Columbia, our commitment is to restore soil health, support rural economies, and deliver organic foods that taste as good as they are for the planet.
About Us – Roots of Regeneration and Growth
OrganicFarmCA was established in 2016 when soil-scientist Dr. Clara Hughes and fifth-generation farmer Thomas McLeod shared a vision for agriculture that heals the earth while feeding communities. Frustrated by conventional practices that deplete soils and compromise biodiversity, they transformed a 200-acre dairy farm near Guelph into a living laboratory for regenerative methods. Today, OrganicFarmCA partners with over 150 certified-organic producers from Ontario to Quebec and British Columbia—forming Canada’s largest cooperative network dedicated to sustainable agribusiness.
Our central R&D hub collaborates with the University of Guelph’s Organic Research Centre to develop advanced cover-crop rotations, compost teas rich in beneficial microbes, and insect-habitat corridors that naturally manage pests. Drone-assisted soil-moisture monitoring and satellite imagery guide water-efficient irrigation, reducing consumption by up to 40%. Meanwhile, hand-scouting ensures we respect local ecology, identifying pollinator nests and rare native plants.
Community engagement is woven into our DNA. We host monthly Open-Farm Saturdays where families can tour fields, learn seed-saving techniques, and sample fresh-pressed juices. Through the “Future Farmers” scholarship, we fund young agronomists exploring regenerative systems at agricultural colleges. A percentage of every pound of produce sold is channelled back into rural development grants—enabling smallholders to install high-tunnel greenhouses and solar-powered cold storage.
Every product carries a blockchain-verified QR tag linking to detailed provenance: planting dates, soil-health metrics, and grower stories. From heirloom squash and winter wheat to pasture-raised lamb and free-range eggs, each item adheres to Canada Organic Regime and USDA-NOP standards. OrganicFarmCA isn’t merely a supplier—it’s a movement cultivating resilient landscapes, vibrant communities, and flavours that speak of stewardship and regeneration.
What We Offer – Six Holistic Agribusiness Services
Certified Organic Crop Production
We grow a broad spectrum of vegetables—tomatoes, carrots, kale—and specialty grains like spelt and emmer, all cultivated without synthetic inputs. Diverse crop rotations and green-manure cover crops restore soil structure, suppress weeds, and feed microbial communities naturally. Precision planters and seeders ensure uniform stands while minimizing waste. Harvests are promptly cooled and delivered via our cold-chain network to retain maximum flavor and nutrition. Each field undergoes quarterly soil assays and biodiversity surveys, guaranteeing both product quality and ecosystem health.
Regenerative Livestock & Pasture Management
Our rotational-grazing model for cattle, sheep, and poultry mimics natural herd movements—enhancing grass diversity, sequestering carbon, and improving animal welfare. Mob-grazing systems are guided by real-time pasture-growth analytics to optimize rest and recovery periods. Poultry tractors fertilize fields evenly, reducing fertilizer needs. Veterinary care prioritizes herbal tonics and probiotic supplements over antibiotics, supporting gut health and food-safety standards. Nutrient-rich manure is composted on-site into premium biofertilizer, closing the loop back into our crop systems.
Organic Transition Consulting & Certification
Transitioning to organic can add years of paperwork and audits—our consulting team simplifies the journey. We conduct on-farm gap assessments, draft the Organic Systems Plan, and manage dossier submissions for Canada Organic Regime, USDA-NOP, and EU-Organic credentials. Pre-audit simulations and staff-training workshops ensure smooth inspections. Post-certification, we guide market-entry strategies, co-branding opportunities, and value-added product launches. Quarterly compliance check-ins keep farms current with regulatory updates and emerging best practices.
Technology-Enabled Agronomy
Harness the power of agritech with our drone-based crop-health monitoring, soil-moisture sensor networks, and AI-driven yield forecasting. Cloud dashboards consolidate data—pest hotspots, moisture deficits, and nutrient imbalances—into actionable insights. Automated irrigation valves respond dynamically to crop needs, conserving water and boosting yields. Weekly agronomy reports and remote support empower growers to fine-tune practices in real time. On-site calibration workshops ensure seamless integration of tech and tradition.
Education & Community Engagement
OrganicFarmCA hosts seasonal Field Days attracting hundreds of attendees to hands-on regenerative workshops. Topics range from vermicomposting and beekeeping to agroforestry guild design. Our “Kids on the Farm” program partners with local schools to teach food-cycle science through garden plots and cooking demos. Annual Regenerative Summits gather farmers, scientists, and Indigenous elders to share knowledge and celebrate innovations. Scholarship funds at Ontario agricultural colleges nurture the next generation of organic leaders.
Supply Chain & Cold-Chain Logistics
Our climate-controlled depots in Toronto, Ottawa, and Vancouver deliver farm-fresh products coast-to-coast within 48 hours of harvest. Eco-fleet vehicles run on biodiesel blends, and all packaging is fully recyclable or compostable. We offer customized fulfillment for CSA subscriptions, wholesale accounts, and direct-to-consumer orders—complete with real-time tracking and automated reorder alerts. Seasonal subscription boxes curate community-supported harvest selections, fostering direct connections between grower and consumer.
Why Choose OrganicFarmCA? – Six Key Advantages
  • Measurable Regeneration Impact
Our partner farms average 15–20% increases in soil organic carbon within three seasons, verified by third-party assays. Cover-crop rotations and compost applications rejuvenate degraded soils, improving water infiltration and resilience. Biodiversity indices show rising bird and beneficial-insect populations on our demonstration sites—proof that ecological restoration yields both environmental and agronomic benefits.
  • Nationwide Cooperative Network
With over 150 certified-organic member farms across Ontario, Quebec, and British Columbia, we harness collective expertise and economies of scale. Shared buying power for inputs, bulk-logistics discounts, and peer-mentoring programs accelerate innovation uptake. This cooperative model strengthens regional food systems and amplifies market access for small and mid-scale growers alike.
  • Traceable, Transparent Supply
Blockchain-enabled QR tags on every product provide field-level transparency—planting and harvest dates, soil-test analytics, and farmer profiles. Consumers scan codes to learn stewardship stories and verify organic integrity. This transparency builds trust, reduces fraud risk, and supports premium pricing.
  • Integrated Tech & Tradition
By blending drone imaging, AI analytics, and sensor-driven automation with permaculture design and Indigenous land-care principles, we optimize productivity without compromising ecology. This synergy of old and new yields consistent, high-quality harvests while safeguarding soil health for future generations.
  • Full-Service Organic Consulting
Beyond production, we guide farms through market positioning, branding, and export-market entry. Marketing workshops, co-branded CSA campaigns, and trade-show representation expand reach. Ongoing advisory sessions keep growers abreast of industry trends, consumer preferences, and policy changes—transforming certification into sustainable business growth.
  • Community & Sustainability Commitment
We reinvest 10% of net profits into rural development grants, sustainable-agriculture scholarships, and community-garden installations. Partnerships with Indigenous land-stewardship initiatives honor traditional ecological knowledge and promote reconciliation. Our educational programs and public-outreach foster a culture of stewardship that extends beyond the farm gate.
